Soup competition winner dishes up some judgement at Thames Ditton care home

A soup connoisseur who won a national TV recipe competition judged an old people’s home efforts.
Karen Tanner, from Thames Ditton, had her chicken and chorizo creation put on shelves in Waitrose after entering a competition on ITV’s Lorraine show.
She visited Linwood care home in Thames Ditton on Friday, May 18, to test four residents’ own creations.
The winner was Betty Baker with her beef and vegetable soup, which won her a Waitrose goody bag.
