2) Number One Thai Restaurant, Cheam Road

If you’re a fan of Thai food then this could be the place for you. The restaurant also does home deliveries and is open from Tuesday to Saturday.

I couldn't find a single fault with the food, the service or the very attentive staff. It was great value and I will definitely be paying number one Thai a second visit.”

4) Casa Nostra, Mulgrave Road

If you’re a fan of pizza then this Italian restaurant should be high on your list. Casa Nostra caters for those wanting a light meal, “cosy meal for two” or a “fresh and healthy treat for the family”.

5) Spaghetti Tree, Brighton Road

As you can guess, spaghetti is a popular choice in the second Italian restaurant to feature in TripAdvisor's top 10 Sutton restaurants.

6) Sushi Tama, Station Way

In keeping with the international cuisine choices, Sushi Tama offers Japanese sushi to hungry Sutton residents.

Your best chance of eating here may be through takeaway as there is only a limited number of seats available. But when it comes to the food, the reviews are very positive.

One satisfied reviewer wrote: “Only discovered this little gem recently. I think most of its business comes from takeaways, but there is a few tables if you want to eat there. Very polite staff and you can watch them make your sushi. Allow plenty of time if ordering takeaway as it takes time to prepare (approx. 30mins). My favourites are the Philadelphia and the England. The menu has photos so you have a clear idea of what you are ordering.”

7) TAS Turkish Restaurant, London Road

This Turkish restaurant scores an average 4/5 mark in their TripAdvisor customer reviews.

Jakkus1 reviewed the restaurant just two days ago. He said: “Best Turkish food I've ever had. Quick service and everything 10/10. Mixed grill and moussaka were fabulous. Also recommend the mini pizzas for starters - will definitely be returning very soon.”

8) Village Charcoal Grill, Sutton High Street

This is the second Turkish restaurant to feature on the list. It offers lunch, dinner and brunch with 62 per cent of reviewers scoring the restaurant five stars.

The staff are accommodating and friendly. The new refurbishment is great. All of my friends love it here also. Thanks to the Cock and Bull for creating a superb establishment to go to.”

10) Superfish, London Road

Superfish was founded in 1970 with a “vision to create a Company that would serve the best Yorkshire fish and chips in the South East of England”.

The restaurant now has seven branches in the UK.

“As soon as my friend and I sat at our chosen table, we were welcomed by a complimentary dish of cold Prawn and fresh sliced French bread and Butter. My cod and chips were fresh and crispy, mushy peas tasted very good as expected. We had a bit more of Pickled Gherkins which tasted pretty amazing,” said one pleased reviewer.
