A touch of the West End has arrived in Wimbledon Village.
The world-famous Ivy opened the doors to its new The Ivy Café on the site of the old Barclays Bank on the High Street on Wednesday, June 1.
The 120-seat café’s design is consistent with its sister venue in Marylebone and focusses on ‘accessible all-day dining for those living, working and shopping in the area’ with a menu offering breakfast, elevenses, lunch, light snacks, afternoon tea, cocktails, weekend brunch and dinner.
Martin Brudnizki Design Studio consulted on the restaurant’s interior, which includes an antique bar pewter bar, pendant lighting, a marble floor and caramel and burnt-orange soft furnishings.
A garden terrace is hidden away at the back of the restaurant on the ground floor.
