Celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal visited the kitchen of an award-winning Indian restaurant yesterday.
Blumenthal met chefs and sampled curry at Le Raj, in Fir Tree Road, Epsom, while filming for a Channel 4 programme to be broadcast in March.
Enam Ali, owner of Le Raj who hosted the celebrity chef, said Blumenthal plans to create his own "unusual combination", which can not be revealed yet.
Mr Ali said: "They were doing the filming and obviously they came in to enjoy Le Raj food. They were talking about how British curry has been established and what it is all about."
The restaurant prides itself on its "rebirth" of Chicken Tikka Masala using beetroot to create natural flavouring and colour. Mr Ali said he can not reveal the name of the Channel 4 programme.
In Heston’s Great British Food, Blumenthal uncovered the secrets of some iconic British dishes and then transformed them.
During series one he created mushy pea ice cream and a fake fish eyeball cocktail as part of his unusual take on fish and chips.
He also tried out a roast chicken "dressed as a knight riding a pig" and made a pudding involving a cow's udder, a Victorian sponge and custard.
