Streatham wine bar wins awards

Two wine connoisseurs have scooped a series of international awards for their specialist knowledge.

Chix Chandaria and Dan Roebuck, owners of the Chix&Buck wine bar at The Hideaway Cafe in Streatham High Road, won three gongs at the London International Wine Fair on May 22.

The pair research, find and visit vineyards in order to select new wines for import into the UK.

The award winning wines are from the Tenuti i Fauri vineyard in Italy, a family run business which has been producing delicious wines for generations.

Ms Chandria said: “Our ambition is to surprise and delight with our wine selection and we work hard to find new wines to bring back to the UK.

"We seek out smaller vineyards which offer something different and special, which people won’t find in the supermarkets or larger wine retailers, so it’s fantastic to have these smaller producers recognised."
