Fancy drinking an extremely self-conscious ale or the world’s biggest liar?

If so, head down to Epsom to fill your boots with an array of beers including pumpkin, peppercorn, organic and coffee stout beers which will be served up as part of a 16-day festival.

The US craft beers which will be on offer at The Assembly Rooms have been sourced from brewers from states including California, Georgia, Massachusetts and Oregon.

They will complement the 35 beers from the UK which will also be on offer.

The American beers include Sgt Pepper; Even Keel; Cream Ale; Sunshine Daydream; Extremely Self-Conscious Ale; Tree Hugger; and Restoration Pale Ale.

UK beers on tap include Pumpkin Ale; Poltergeist Porter; World's Biggest Liar (Jennings); Half Nelson; Hazelnut Brownie; Wild Cat; and The Abbot's Confession.

Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of a pint, and the beers will have tasting notes on them.

Pub manager Tony Cave says: "We are thrilled to be serving such a fantastic selection of beers from the USA and the UK.

"The craft beers from the USA have never before been available in cask form in the UK, which makes them even more special.

"The festival will be the perfect way for real ale enthusiasts to enjoy a range of excellent beers.

"It will also give them an opportunity to support microbrewers throughout the UK, as the pub is featuring many of their beers."
