Comedian and south London gal Gina Yashere covers everything rom the riots to Jimmy Saville in her new show.

The stand up comedian has witnessed a lot this year, including Britain’s triumph in the Olympics in 2012, and she wants to talk about it.

Gina has discovered she is also a closet OCD sufferer and has also had to purchase new reading glasses.

A former lift engineer, Yashere made her comedy debut at the Edinburgh Festival in 1996 and went on to sell out shows in the UK.

She also had successful gigs in Japan, Dubai, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, South Africa.

The comedian has also featured on a number of shows in America, including NBC’s Last Comic Standing competition, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brian and Def Comedy Jam.

In England she has had even more success performing on popular shows such as Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo.

Yashere, who has family in Croydon and stays in the town when she is touring the area, says she is looking forward to the gig.

She says: "The show is literally a run down of my life over the past couple of years. I cover the London Riots to the Jimmy Saville debacle to why I cannot pee in a straight line.

"I have been away for a while so I haven’t been in the UK for long but the tour is now underway which is great.

"It is also exciting to start a new tour again. To come back to England is like taking of your bra and letting everything hang out and you can just relax.

"I stay at my brothers house when I am down this way and they all come and see me live as well.

"I have done Fairfield Halls before and it is always a great night. I sold out last time so hopefully it will be the same again and a lot of fun."

Gina Yashere: Live, Fairfield Halls, Park Lane, October 31, 7.30pm, £17.50, call 020 8688 9291 or visit Fairfield.co.uk.
