DEBUT UK TOUR FOR ALEXANDER ARMSTRONG AND HIS BAND Alexander Armstrong, fresh from his starring role in ITV’s Your Face Looks Familiar, celebrates his love of music and great songs in this fantastic new stage show coming to the Epsom Playhouse on Tuesday 8 October. The acclaimed comedian, actor and presenter introduces the audience to the songs he loves, from jazz standards and rock classics to some lesser-known pop delights. Armstrong’s gloriously powerful baritone, along with his exceptionally versatile band, breathe new life into a wonderfully diverse range of songs from Louis Jordan’s Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby, to Spandau Ballet’s True and Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Alexander said "I’ve never done anything like this before but I am so looking forward to heading out on the road with this extraordinary band of musicians, and to meeting the people who come along. I wonder if they'll be Pointless fans, comedy fans or - strange to say - music fans. Certainly there'll be something for everyone in the evening "

Alexander’s band consists of his MD Harry the Piano, virtuoso wind player Simon Bates, Van Morrison’s drummer Jeff Lardner and Jools Holland’s bassist Dave Swift.

Alexander Armstrong is best known for being one half of BAFTA Award winning comedy duo Armstrong and Miller, and has also undertaken many straight acting roles including Love Life, Life Begins and most recently double Comedy Award winning Hunderby.
