The long awaited fourth follow on sequel in the Jurassic Park series 'Jurassic World' is now due for release in June 2015. At the moment there has been no definitive plot release to the media. However, it has been rumoured that it will be set 22 years (in real time) after the original Jurassic Park (1993) film when the genetically engineered dinosaurs started to eat the park's human inhabitants at the original location of Isla Nublar.
The film may also feature aquatic dinosaurs for the first time and maybe some muzzled velociraptor's helping the humans tackle a new menace.

Fans of the Jurassic Park movies were hoping that the original cast would also return in JP4 but new director Clive Trevorrow has told on-line entertainment channel IGN: "I know a lot of fans want to see the original characters back because they're iconic. But I respect those actors too much to shoe-horn them into this story for my own sentimental reasons. Jurassic Park isn't about the bad luck of three people who keep getting thrown into the same situation. The only reason they'd go back to that island is if the screenwriters contrived a reason to go."

Foker On Film can reveal that the following (fairly) unknown actors, many of them more familiar to TV audiences, have been cast in the 2015 Jurassic World. This may be a sign of the times now where film producers / casting agents are turning to actors from popular TV shows that have gained familiarity with young audiences.

Chris Pratt (Owen)
Fresh from providing the voice for Emmet Brickowoski in The Lego Movie (2014) and soon to be seen in Marvels Guardian's of the Galaxy (UK release August 1, 2014) leads the cast so there could be a few wise cracks along the way.Surrey Comet:

Bryce Dallas Howard (Beth)
Daughter of Oscar winning director Ron Howard. Bryce who appeared in The Help (2011), Spider-Man 3 (2007) and The Village (2004), will head up the cast with Chris Pratt.

Surrey Comet:

Jake Johnson (Lowery the 'tech guy' source Vulture)
Johnson is the latest name to be added to the cast list. He will be known to many as Nick Miller in the American comedy TV show New Girl with Zooey Deschanel. He also played the Principal in 21 Jump Street (2012) and was the voice of Barry in The Lego Movie (2014).

Surrey Comet:

Katie McGrath (no details as yet)
Irish actress who cut her teeth in such popular British TV series as Dracula (2013-2014), Merlin (2008-2012), Labyrinth (2012).

Surrey Comet:

Judy Greer (only details we have is 'dino-bait')
Although Judy had some small film roles in the 90's, the bulk of her more popular work is for TV before her recent return to movies. TV credits are Arrested Development (2003-2013), Married (2014) and more recently Archer (2014). Soon to be seen in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and Tomorrowland (2015 pre-production).

Surrey Comet:

Lauren Lapkus
From American TV series Orange Is the New Black (2013-2014) and House of Lies (2014).

Surrey Comet:

Vincent D'Onofrio (Bad guy...is all we know)
54 year-old Vincent D'Onofrio has been making movies for a number of years now and has made an easy transition between TV and the big screen. His recent TV credits were as Detective Robert Goren in the Law and Order: Criminal Intent series (2001-2011). He played Edgar the unfortunate victim whose body was inhabited by a giant alien insect in the original Men in Black (1997) Remember Agent Jay doing the 'flashy' thing to Edgar's wife and giving her a new memory "You going to go into town buy yourself some new dresses, get yourself a facial and hirer a decorator quick 'cause...DAMN!".

Vincent D'Onofrio's most memorable scene was as the poor victimised Private Leonard 'Gomer Pyle' Lawrence in director Stanley Kubrick's cult Vietnam war movie Full Metal Jacket (1987), who is tipped over the edge and shoots the sadistic Gunnery Seargeant Hartman before shooting himself in the head.

Surrey Comet:

Irrfan Khan (Bad guy number 2)
Seasoned Indian actor Life of Pi (2012), The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and Life of Pi (2012) and as the inspector in Slumdog Millionaire (2008).

Surrey Comet:

I just hope that JP4 does not suffer from a dinosaur overload as in JP2 or a poor script as in JP3. Although the good news is that Steven Spielberg is one of the executive producers as is Spielberg regular Frank Marshall.

There is a part of me looking forward to the fourth instalment particularly as the wait since the last film has been 13-years. In my view the original Jurassic Park is still the bench-mark for CGI animation especially for 1993. There have been a lot worse effects in more recent films...if you can't do it well, don't do it at all!

Let's hope JP4 doesn't disappoint. More news to follow.
