An evening of women declaring what ticks them off has turned into a hugely successful show which rolls into the Epsom Playhouse next week.

Toyah Willcox and Julie Coombe star in the irrepressible Hormonal Housewives, which enjoyed a popular tour last year across the UK and is now back with a series of hilarious new sketches, as well as the very best bits from last time around.

Their sketches cover everything that make women tick - from the joys of teenagers, to the challenge of IKEA, the madness of holiday reps and the insanity of DIY.

From punk princess to high priestess of TV, Willcox is an award-winning rock legend as well as a much-loved actress and music composer.

In a career spanning 30 years, she has had 13 top 40 singles, recorded 20 albums, written two books, appeared in more than 40 stage plays, made 10 feature films and presented television programmes as diverse as the Good Sex Guide, Watchdog and Songs of Praise.

Coombes, who is also the writer of Hormonal Housewives, has enjoyed a varied career in theatre, radio and television in productions ranging from Shakespeare to new writing to pantomime.

She has also been a regular at Scotland’s top comedy venue, The Stand Comedy Club in Edinburgh, for the past 10 years.
