Blues Brothers making a comeback in new tribute concert
7:00am Sunday 17th February 2013 in Leisure By Lauren May, Chief Reporter
The Blues Brothers will be making a comeback this month as they burst on to the stage at the New Wimbledon Theatre.
The Blues Brothers Approved will feature original members from the West End production who will be performing classic hits from the smash musical comedy including Everybody, Gimme Some Lovin, Think, Shake a Tailfeather, Sweet Home Chicago, accompanied by sassy backing singers the Bluettes.
The tribute concert is inspired by the 1980s musical comedy starring Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, which followed the story of convict and parolee Jake Blues and his brother Elwood who hatch a plan to put together their old band in a bid to save the Catholic orphanage where they grew up.
