The King of Pop was spotted at the Whitgift Centre.
Shoppers were given a sneak preview of the Jackson Live concert taking place at the Fairfield Halls on Saturday.
Ben Bowman, 26, who stars as Michael Jackson in the show, performed three songs at the Whitgift Centre and met with shoppers on Thursday.
Bowman, who is a lifelong Jackson fan and an impersonator of nine years, said: "We often get out in the town the week before the show and meet everyone from the area, it is a nice thing to do."
