Learn to play guitar and drums at Realistic Rock Academy in Cobham
11:32am Monday 28th January 2013 in Leisure By Laura Proto
Up to 11: Play like a rock star
Future rock stars and budding musicians can head to Cobham to learn how to play guitar and drums at the Realistic Rock Academy.
Young musicians who have taken part in Realistic Rock courses have gone on to form bands and have had major success.
Some of the achievements by Realistic Rock alumni include sharing a stage with the Kaiser Chiefs, performing live on BBC1 and gracing the stage at Glastonbury.
Prospective students are invited to attend drop in workshops at Cobham Village Hall on Tuesdays at 4.30pm for drums and 5.15pm for guitars.
The workshops will cover basic skills in guitar and drums as well as popular modern songs by artists including Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars.
The sessions will be lead by teaching veterans Robin and Richard Henderson, who have substantial experience in this field.
From coaching young bands for major record label showcases to preparing them for concerts in national arenas, the Realistic Rock founders are offering their unique teaching skills to young musicians.
To book, visit realisticrock.com or call 01372 740300. Places are £10, with the first session free.
