Electrician Mig Walsh hosts free art exhibit with childhood friend at New Wimbledon Theatre
An electrician has joined forces with her childhood friend to host a free art exhibition complete with live music.
Mig Walsh has worked at the New Wimbledon Theatre for seven years as its chief electrician, but had previously completed a foundation course at the Kent Institute of Art and Design.
Through My Eyes will feature works created over the past 20 years which will be accompanied by live music from rockabilly, jazz trio Scarlett Rae and The Cherry Reds - fronted by Ms Walsh’s childhood friend.
Gavin Shuman, the theatre’s general manager, said: "We work within such a creative industry, it is a privilege to be able to support our employees in their outside interests and I hope this event is the first of many"
The exhibition is free and will run from January 21 to 25 from 6.30 to 8pm, from 7pm on Friday, at the New Wimbledon Theatre on the Broadway in Wimbledon.
