SIR. About a year ago we moved into the area mentioned which has foxes being fed by well intentioned neighbours.
I would be reluctant to confront them on this subject as I feel this may lead to bad feelings.
I know someone is buying fresh eggs on a regular basis. I can understand disposing of waste food in this manner to the wildlife but this is getting out of hand.
When was the last time that we had such a bad winter that wildlife suffered?
I agree that before long these wild animals, for that is what they are, may well be harmed, or at the very most killed or badly injured.
Can the local environmental agency be encouraged to do something before it gets out of hand?
I would ask through your pages to those who are feeding them, please stop. Don't forget they are wild.
