Richmond Adult Community College (RACC) is a specialist at providing courses for adults. In January 2006 Ofsted graded the institution as Outstanding' making RACC one of the top colleges in the UK. It is a Beacon Status institution with a nationally recognised reputation for teaching, learning and effective assessment.

What's on offer Over 2,000 part-time and full-time vocational and leisure courses are offered. A wide range of students are catered for and include those wishing to change their career, gain more qualifications so they can go onto higher education, or simply take up a new hobby as an antidote to a stressful lifestyle.

Location The two main sites are based in Twickenham and Richmond. Both sites are easily accessible by rail, road and bus links. This area is one of the most beautiful parts of London with many parks, interesting shops and a wealth of restaurants. Numerous other centres are scattered throughout the Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Facilities RACC provides free access to IT in the two main Learning Centres, well-stocked libraries and a crèche facility. There are built-in tutorials on many courses, additional help in numeracy and literacy and an Advice and Guidance service to advise on career opportunities and course information.

Subject Strengths
The College has Centres of Vocational Excellence in Business and IT and Digital Media and Design. The dedicated business centre, Richmond Business School, is based at the Parkshot site in Richmond and offers tailored training and conference facilities for businesses. This new building opened in 2003 and offers state of the art IT facilities, a flexible learning centre and a library. The College also has strong programmes in art and design and performing arts.
