The Met's deputy police commissioner, John Grieve, visited Kingston Racial Equality Council (KREC) last Tuesday to discover how the organisation has been developing relations with the police following the publication of the Macpherson report into the death of Stephen Lawrence. Mr Grieve was taken on a tour of Kingston by KREC's director John Azah and informed about the council's work in the Royal borough.
