Fifrefighters from Esher were called after a car crashed in a ditch in West End Lane, Esher.

Witnesses suspected the car was on fire on Wednesday, August 27, after the driver lost control and crashed into the ditch, and called the firefighters at 8.50am.

After arriving and determining there was no fire, the firefighters gave the 27-year-old driver medical attention, and called for an ambulance after he complained of neck pain.

The firefighters assisted paramedics and helped control the traffic.

The driver was then taken to hospital, nobody else was involved in the accident.

Witnesses said the driver was not speeding and the car appeared to slip on the wet road.
