A confused swan was living life in the fast lane this morning after waddling onto the M25.

Pictures tweeted by Sutton Roads Police show the bird standing near the Junction 13 turn-off in Staines.

The Highways Agency took it to be looked after by the Swan Lifeline charity in Windsor.
