Female runners are needed to take part in a race around Richmond Park to raise money for charity Action for Children.

The run, organised by Human Race, will see women run 5km, 10km or 15km around the park on October 18.

Action for Children fundraiser Beth Simons said: "The event even has a run-with-your-buggy option for mums to run with their little ones.

"Money raised from the event will support Action for Children’s vital work with vulnerable children and young people in Surrey, and across the UK."

Runners are asked to pay a registration fee of £25, and raise a minimum of £150.

To sign up, call 07740 455397 or email challenge@actionforchildren.org.uk.

Surely running 10km around Richmond Park's pot-holed paths with the baby in a buggy is akin to shaking the poor half to death.
For goodness sake, no one ever had a need to take a baby buggy running with them. It's always been about showing off, and I guarantee that not one single buggy runner could possibly enjoy the experience (no, don't start talking about how bonding it is....)
